Biography

Julie Manley serves as an undergraduate faculty member in the Department of Psychology, Counseling, and Behavioral Health, where she is deeply committed to student success, experiential learning, and workforce development in behavioral health. As an educator, she integrates evidence based practice with applied learning to prepare students for careers in psychology, counseling, and community-based behavioral health services.

In addition, Ms. Manley is the Director of the Maxie Collier Scholars Program, a workforce development initiative designed to prepare students for graduate training and professional careers in behavioral health within the State of Maryland. In this role, she oversees student recruitment, professional development programming, mentoring, grant reporting, and partnership development with community agencies and behavioral health organizations. Under her leadership, the program emphasizes career readiness, wellness integration, opioid and substance use prevention education, and leadership development.

Ms. Manley also serves as the Director of Coppin’s SheCare Wellness Pods, an innovative initiative in partnership with the Boris L. Henson Foundation and Kate Spade, New York. This partnership focuses on integrative wellness and provides dedicated wellness spaces and programs for women and girls on Coppin’s campus and the extended Baltimore community.

Across all of her roles, Ms. Manley is dedicated to wellness, student empowerment, and building sustainable pathways into the behavioral health workforce. Her work reflects a strong commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration, community engagement, and the development of future professionals who are both clinically skilled and wellness informed.
